How to fertilize hybrid rice: a detailed explanation of the methods

How to sprout hybrid rice seeds? What methods work well? In recent years, the main method tested and promoted has been a new safe and rapid sprouting method combining "warm water soaking of seeds with an electric blanket for sprouting," which has effectively solved the difficulty of soaking and sprouting seeds of high-quality rice and hybrid early rice, and is well received by farmers. The main advantages of this method: first...
How to fertilize hybrid rice for good results? What should be noted?

Fertilizing hybrid rice is indeed different from fertilizing other crops. Overall, organic fertilizer and phosphate fertilizer should be used as base fertilizer, potassium fertilizer mainly as tillering fertilizer, and nitrogen fertilizer applied evenly in multiple applications, with special attention to applying fertilizer for plump panicles and plump grains. Specifically, note the following points:
(1) Application of base fertilizer. According to measurements, 50%-60% of the nitrogen and 70% of the phosphorus and potassium in the total nutrient uptake of hybrid rice come from the soil. Insufficient fertilization will excessively consume the soil's potential nutrients and reduce soil fertility. Increasing the application of organic fertilizer is an important way to maintain and improve soil fertility. Make organic fertilizer account for 40% of the total fertilizer applied during the whole period.
(2) Apply tillering fertilizer early in appropriate amounts. Because hybrid rice has strong root activity and new roots grow relatively quickly after transplanting, generally early rice can be topdressed with urea 5 days after transplanting and late rice 3 days after transplanting to promote tillering. Tillering fertilizer should be applied in split applications. The first application is 6-7.5 kg of urea per mu; about 7 days later, according to seedling conditions, for fields with poor growth, apply a second tillering fertilizer of no more than 4 kg of urea per mu. For fields with little organic fertilizer applied and potassium deficiency, topdress with 5-7.5 kg of potassium fertilizer per mu.
(3) Apply panicle fertilizer according to seedling conditions. Panicle fertilizer can be divided into flower-promoting fertilizer and flower-preserving fertilizer according to application time and function. Where fertilizer was applied appropriately in the early stage and the rice plants are growing evenly, the focus should generally be on preserving flowers and increasing grains, applying only flower-preserving fertilizer and not too much of it, generally about 2.5 kg of urea per mu. If early fertilization was insufficient, the population of seedlings is on the low side, and individual growth is poor, then both flower-promoting fertilizer and flower-preserving fertilizer can be applied, each time about 5 kg of urea per mu. Hybrid rice has a high demand for potassium fertilizer. After sunning the field and reflooding, combined with topdressing nitrogen fertilizer, topdress about 2.5 kg of potassium fertilizer per mu, with a significant yield-increasing effect.
(4) Apply grain fertilizer and foliar topdressing according to seedling conditions before the initial heading stage. If the rice leaf color is too pale, broadcast 2-2.5 kg of urea per mu; for fields that turn yellow too early after full heading, apply 2.5-3 kg of urea per mu; for normally growing hybrid rice, only 500-750 kg of urea diluted in 50 kg of water should be sprayed as grain fertilizer. Because hybrid rice has a relatively high uptake of phosphorus and potassium in the late stage, applying foliar fertilizer in the late stage has a good yield-increasing effect. 4-6 days before initial heading or 2-3 days after full heading, spray 150-200 kg of potassium dihydrogen phosphate diluted in 50 kg of water on poorly growing rice plants, which enhances the plants' ability to resist high or low temperatures.
