The fertilization principle for mung beans is to rely mainly on farmyard manure, with inorganic fertilizer as a supplement; farmyard manure and inorganic fertilizer should be applied together; apply sufficient base fertilizer, and topdress appropriately. For base fertilizer, human excrement and urine, plant ash, kang soil, and pig, chicken, and sheep manure are best, applied at 1000-3000 kg per mu. Topdressing should be timely and appropriate, preferably applied in furrows between rows at the seedling stage and flowering stage, with 5-10 kg or 8-15 kg per mu of urea or compound fertilizer respectively. Foliar spraying during the flowering and pod-setting period has a clear effect; spraying 0.1%-0.3% ammonium molybdate or zinc sulfate solution can increase yield by 7%-14%.
