Corn brown spot can be controlled as follows:
(1) Rational fertilization. Apply sufficient base fertilizer, pay attention to the balance of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, and avoid over-applying nitrogen fertilizer, so as to enhance the disease resistance of the plants.
(2) Early prevention. Hybrids with Huangzaosi bloodline are susceptible to brown spot. At the 5-6 leaf stage, spray with 25% triadimefon wettable powder at 1,500 times dilution.
(3) Chemical control. At the trumpet stage, spray 25% triadimefon wettable powder at 1,500 times dilution, or 12.5% hexaconazole wettable powder at 1,000 times dilution, or 50% carbendazim wettable powder at 500-800 times dilution. To improve the control effect, potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be added to the spray solution to promote vigorous corn growth and improve disease resistance.
