How to grow mung beans after wheat harvest for high yield? Please give an introduction

Mung bean is one of the important minor grain crops in China, combining nutritional value and medicinal value. As people's living standards rise day by day, in order to adjust and improve their diet, the demand for mung beans is increasing, while growing mung beans requires little investment, brings quick results and high returns, and has very broad development prospects. Its high-quality, high-yield cultivation techniques are as follows:

1. Select good seed varieties and prepare the soil finely
Selecting superior varieties is the key to increasing mung bean yield. In production, early-to-mid-maturing varieties with upright and compact plant type, thick main stems, strong branching ability, good quality, high yield, disease resistance and lodging resistance should be selected, such as Lulü No. 1. After the wheat harvest, clear the stubble early, and while preparing the soil, apply 1500-2000 kg of organic fertilizer per 1/15 hectare (1 mu).

2. Sow early at the right time and plant at a reasonable density
The earlier the sowing date of mung beans after wheat harvest, the higher the yield. The best sowing period in our region is early to mid-June, sowing 1.5-2 kg per 1/15 hectare, with a sowing depth of 3-5 cm, row spacing of 40-50 cm, plant spacing of 10-15 cm, and leaving 0.9-1.3 million plants.

3. Manage early, resist drought and drain waterlogging
Because the growth period of mung beans is short, field management must focus on the word "early", that is, thinning and final thinning of seedlings early; final thinning can be done when the second leaf appears. The growing season of mung beans after wheat harvest is exactly the period of early drought and later waterlogging; therefore, when selecting and preparing the land, it must be possible to irrigate in drought and drain in waterlogging. Especially at sowing time, if the weather is too dry, sowing can be done after making soil moisture; at the seedling stage, an appropriate amount of nitrogen fertilizer can be applied as a top dressing, applying 7.5-10 kg of urea per 1/15 hectare to help individual plants grow robustly.

4. Prevent disease, control weeds and harvest at the right time
During the growth period of mung beans after wheat harvest, weeds grow thickly. Cultivation and weeding should be carried out respectively at the first compound leaf stage, the second compound leaf stage and before branching and budding. When aphids and stem borers cause damage, omethoate emulsifiable concentrate should be used promptly for control. When the mung bean pods mature and turn black, if conditions permit, harvesting can be done in stages; if it is a variety prone to pod shattering, it must be harvested in batches. When labor resources are scarce, a single harvest can be done when 80% of the pods have turned black.
