What pests need to be controlled when growing kudzu? Please give an introduction.
The following pests need to be controlled when growing kudzu:
(1) Crickets bite and eat seedlings. Control method: spray with 80% dichlorvos emulsifiable concentrate at 2000 times dilution.
(2) Scarab beetles. Adults come out at night in May to June to bite and eat leaves. Control method: use light traps to kill them, or spray the leaf surface with 90% crystalline trichlorfon at 1000 times dilution for control, or shake the kudzu vines and take advantage of their habit of playing dead and falling to the ground to catch and kill them.
(3) Blister beetles bite and eat petals when kudzu flowers are blooming. Control method: in the morning, while the dew is not yet dry and they are unable to fly, catch them and suffocate them with white liquor, then dry them in the sun for medicinal use.
