Pumpkin leaf spot disease mainly damages the leaves and the flower axis. Leaf spots are circular to nearly circular or irregular in shape. The leaf margin is dark brown, the boundary between diseased and healthy tissue is distinct, and there are small black dots in the center of the lesion. In severe cases, the leaf spots merge, causing localized death of the leaves. The flower axis or flowers become infected and rot black or brown. Pumpkin leaf spot disease occurs mainly from April to May in greenhouses, or is more severe when the planting density is high.

Pumpkin leaf spot disease can be prevented and controlled by referring to the following methods:
         1. Pay attention to improving the air permeability between plants.

         2. In the early stage of the disease, promptly spray 70% thiophanate-methyl (Thiophanate-Methyl) wettable powder at 800 times dilution plus 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder at 800 times dilution, 50% anilazine wettable powder at 400-500 times dilution, or 50% iprodione wettable powder at 1500 times dilution, once every 7-10 days, spraying continuously 2-3 times.
