When is the best time to start rice pest and disease control?
When should rice pest and disease control begin? Please give guidance. For rice pest and disease control, you can refer to the following introduction: 1. Select rice blast-resistant varieties according to local conditions; for early rice and middle rice, try not to plant susceptible varieties such as Jinyou 402, You I 402, Jinyou 974, Zhongyou 974, You I 66, Zhongyou 752, Jinyou 752, 65002, ...

In spring, plow and soak winter fallow fields and winter crop fields early to reduce the source of stem borers. It is required that southern Jiangxi complete plowing and soaking before April 1, central Jiangxi before April 10, and northern Jiangxi before April 15.
Do a good job of seed treatment to reduce the occurrence of pests and diseases. Soak early rice and middle rice seeds in a 2000-3000 times dilution of 25% prochloraz emulsifiable concentrate for 48 hours, then directly sprout them to prevent rice blast and bakanae disease. For middle and late rice seeds, mix 40 grams of 10% imidacloprid wettable powder with sprouted grain and sow directly to prevent thrips and planthoppers in the seedling field.
2. 3-5 days before transplanting seedlings, spray the super seedling-escort pesticide to prevent or reduce the occurrence of pests and diseases during the tillering stage in the main field.
Early rice seedling field: spray 100 ml of 40% Mingshijing emulsifiable concentrate or 60 ml of 5% fipronil suspension concentrate per mu to prevent and reduce the occurrence of the first generation of the striped stem borer in the main field; spray 60 grams of 75% Wenshidun wettable powder or 200 grams of 20% tricyclazole powder per mu to prevent leaf blast in the main field.
Middle rice seedling field:
To prevent the striped stem borer and leaf blast: spray 100 ml of 40% Mingshijing emulsifiable concentrate or 60 ml of 5% fipronil suspension concentrate per mu to prevent and reduce the occurrence of the first generation of the striped stem borer in the main field; use 60 grams of 75% Wenshidun wettable powder or 200 grams of 20% tricyclazole powder per mu to prevent leaf blast in the main field.
Spray 40 grams of 10% imidacloprid wettable powder per mu to prevent rice planthoppers and rice thrips in the main field.
Late rice seedling field: spray 100 ml of 40% Mingshijing emulsifiable concentrate per mu to prevent and reduce the occurrence of stem borers in the main field.
3. From tillering to booting stage, focus on controlling stem borers, and use mixed pesticides to concurrently control other pests and diseases: for early rice, control the first generation of the striped stem borer in mid-to-late May; apply pesticide for control in rice fields where the rate of dead sheath clusters reaches 8% or more, focusing on spraying the leaf sheaths; during this period, if leaf blast is found, especially central or acute lesions, apply pesticide promptly for control. For late rice, around August 10 or 10-15 days after transplanting, control the striped stem borer or the yellow stem borer. When applying pesticide to control stem borers, add jinggangmycin to prevent sheath blight.
4. At the breaking and heading stage, use mixed pesticides to protect the panicles: implement mixed pesticide use and integrated management of multiple pests and diseases. For early rice, focus on controlling panicle blast, while also controlling sheath blight and rice planthoppers; for middle rice, focus on controlling stem borers and panicle blast, while also addressing rice planthoppers and sheath blight; for late rice, mainly control stem borers, while also addressing sheath blight and rice planthoppers.
When using pesticides at the breaking and heading stage to protect panicles and at the tillering stage to protect seedlings, add jinggangmycin to control sheath blight; in areas where rice planthoppers frequently occur, also add Gaoxinglong Dagongchen to control rice planthoppers; in areas where rice false smut frequently occurs and for susceptible varieties, use Daoquqing for control at the early booting stage (the big belly stage); in the main landing areas of the rice leaf roller, apply pesticide at the appropriate time during the panicle stage of early rice and from the late tillering stage to the jointing-booting stage of middle and late rice.
5. At harvest time, promote cutting rice level with the mud, and after harvesting early rice and middle rice, plow and soak in a timely manner.
