The main soil pests of potatoes are white grubs and wireworms. The more convenient methods for controlling these two pests are seed potato coating and applying chemicals in the furrow at sowing. For seed potato coating, you can choose 70% thiamethoxam dispersible seed treatment agent, using 100 kg seed potatoes plus 10-15 g of the agent, and mix well with the seed potatoes to coat them. For furrow application, you can choose 5% phoxim granules at 3-5 kg per mu, mix with fine soil and scatter in the sowing furrow. A simple method is to dilute 70% thiamethoxam seed treatment agent before sowing and spray it into the sowing furrow with a sprayer, then cover with soil immediately after sowing.
