How to plant cabbage in autumn and winter? Please advise on planting techniques

For planting cabbage in autumn and winter, you can refer to the following methods:
1. Varieties:
For autumn cabbage harvested within the year, generally choose flat-head types, such as Meimao No. 2, Chuncai, Lushen, Qiangli 60 and other varieties. For cabbage overwintered and delayed for harvest, generally choose Qicao, Chuncai and other varieties.
2. Seedling raising:
For autumn and winter cabbage, use shade netting for shaded seedling raising or semi-protected seedling raising, generally sowing in batches from late June to late July. For overwintered cabbage with delayed harvest, the sowing period is generally from late July to mid-August.
Autumn and winter cabbage is sown in summer. Due to the relatively high temperature, seedling raising requires careful management. After sowing, cover with shade netting to maintain soil moisture and prevent soil compaction from heavy rain. After emergence, remove the shade netting and promptly set up hoop frames instead.
About 15 days after emergence, when the seedlings have 3-4 true leaves, transplant the seedlings (pricking out), with a spacing of 10 cm square. 3-4 days after transplanting, once the seedlings have established, apply one topdressing.
3. Land preparation:
Land preparation for autumn cabbage is the same as for summer cabbage, while land preparation for overwintered delayed cabbage is the same as for spring cabbage.
4. Planting out:
The seedling stage of autumn and winter cabbage is 35-45 days. Therefore, for those sown from late June to late July, the planting out period is generally from early August to early September. The planting out period for overwintered delayed cabbage is generally from late September to early October, no later than October 15.
When planting out autumn cabbage, the temperature is still high, so it is best to choose an overcast day; and the seedlings should be kept with soil to reduce root damage; immediately after planting out, water to settle the roots and promote establishment.
Planting density: For large flat-head type varieties, row spacing 50 cm, plant spacing 40 cm, about 2,800 plants per 667 sq m; for black-leaf small flat-head type varieties, row spacing 43 cm, plant spacing 40 cm; for Siyue slow cabbage, row and plant spacing 40 cm square, 3,500-4,000 plants per 667 sq m.
5. Field management:
Strengthen fertilizer and water management to promote early head formation.
Autumn cabbage is generally topdressed 3 times: one week after planting out and establishment, apply 5-10 kg urea per 667 sq m; at the early heading stage and late heading stage, apply 10-20 kg urea per 667 sq m each time.
For overwintered cabbage, keep in mind that the heads should not be too tight before overwintering. Therefore, the amount of topdressing at the early heading stage should not be too much, applying 10 kg urea per 667 sq m. In this way, during winter the plants and leaves remain vigorous and are not easily damaged by freezing, and at the same time the heads are not easily rotted, which is beneficial for delayed harvest. Around the Beginning of Spring, apply heavy heading fertilizer again, 20-30 kg urea per 667 sq m.
Autumn and winter cabbage is mainly affected by insect pests, mainly cabbage caterpillars, diamondback moths, beet armyworms, tobacco cutworms, etc. Pay attention to control.
6. Harvest:
Autumn and winter cabbage generally begins to be harvested from mid-to-late October and can be harvested until January-February of the following year; Siyue slow cabbage is harvested from mid-March to mid-April.
