When growing sweet peppers, the following diseases need to be prevented and controlled:
Phytophthora blight. In the early stage of the disease, fumigate each mu with 110 g to 180 g of 45% chlorothalonil smoke agent, once every 7 days, 3 to 4 times depending on the severity of the disease, or dust each mu with 1 kg of 5% chlorothalonil dust, once every 7 days, for 2 to 3 consecutive sprays, or spray with 500 times dilution of 64% oxadixyl mancozeb wettable powder, or 500 times dilution of 70% phosethyl-Al mancozeb wettable powder. After finding the primary infected plants in the middle and late stages, drench the roots with 800 times dilution of 50% methyl frost copper wettable powder or 600 to 800 times dilution of 72.2% propamocarb aqueous solution, 100 ml to 200 ml per hole.
Anthracnose. In the early stage of the disease, spray with 500 times dilution of 50% thiophanate-methyl sulfur suspension concentrate, or 600 to 800 times dilution of 80% anthracnose thiram wettable powder, or 1:1:200 Bordeaux mixture, or 600 times dilution of 75% chlorothalonil wettable powder, once every 7 to 10 days, for a total of 2 to 3 sprays.
Viral disease. In the early stage, spray with 1500 times dilution of 10% imidacloprid wettable powder, or 1000 to 2000 times dilution of 40% dimethoate emulsifiable concentrate, or 1000 times dilution of 80% dichlorvos emulsifiable concentrate. At the initial onset, spray with 400 times dilution of 20% virus A or 400 to 500 times dilution of 1.5% zhibingling emulsifiable concentrate, once every 7 days, for 3 consecutive sprays.
Scab. In the early stage of the disease, spray with 4000 times dilution of 72% agricultural streptomycin soluble powder, or 500 times dilution of 50% copper bis(dodecylbenzenesulfonate) wettable powder, or 300 times dilution of 14% copper ammonia complex aqueous solution, once every 7 to 10 days, for 2 to 3 consecutive sprays.
