How to grow cauliflower and control pests and diseases? Please note

Cauliflower should be transplanted on a cloudy day or on a sunny afternoon, and watered thoroughly after transplanting. Do not transplant too deeply; the soil of the nutrient cup should be level with or slightly above the soil surface, and apply enough water to settle the roots. If there has been a long dry spell and the soil is dry, it is best to fill the furrows with water before transplanting and moisten the bed surface, which helps lower the soil temperature.

After the seedlings have recovered, cultivate once and water. If there is too much rain and the field is too wet, cultivate more often to keep the roots dry, loose and well aerated. Many cauliflower fields grow slowly or even stop growing because they are too wet. A cauliflower field should be kept consistently moist, while also loosening the soil and removing weeds in good time.

Cauliflower is prone to downy mildew during the seedling stage and under conditions of high temperature and high humidity in the field. It can be controlled by spraying chlorothalonil, zineb, ridomil, dufulin, Kelu, Anke and other fungicides. During the growing period, cauliflower is prone to pests such as cabbage caterpillars, diamondback moths and striped flea beetles. Control can be achieved with deltamethrin, dimehypo, chlorpyrifos, fipronil, abamectin, Bt, Nongdile and other pesticides.
