Lettuce brown spot disease mainly damages the leaves. It generally spreads, expands, and infects through seed-borne disease and wind and rain. When plant growth is poor or excessive nitrogen fertilizer causes overly vigorous growth, the occurrence of the disease will worsen. There are two types of symptoms: one is initially water-soaked, then gradually expands into round or irregular brown to dark gray lesions, with a diameter ranging from 2-10 mm. The other is dark brown lesions with irregular edges and a water-soaked halo on the outer edge. On moist lesion surfaces, dark gray mold-like growth appears. In severe cases, the lesions merge with each other, and the leaves turn brown and dry up.
Control measures:
1. Clean the field, prepare the land in time, deep plow and sun the soil, then apply an appropriate amount of lime and sufficient organic base fertilizer.
