How can bitter melon be protected against powdery mildew and viral disease? Please introduce control methods
For controlling powdery mildew and viral disease in bitter melon, you can refer to the following methods:
1. Powdery mildew: The plant is prone to this disease during the flowering and fruiting period. The leaves are first covered with a white powdery substance, which gradually causes the leaves to lose their green color and turn yellow, leading to premature aging of the plant and deformed young melons, significantly reducing quality and yield. When the white powdery substance first appears, the following three agents can be used for control. 1. Myclobutanil aqueous solution at 1500 times dilution. 2. Triadimefon aqueous solution at 1000 times dilution. 3. Sulfur suspension concentrate aqueous solution at 600 times dilution. Spray once every 7-10 days, for two to three consecutive sprays, to suppress the occurrence of powdery mildew.
2. Viral disease: This disease specifically harms seedlings and plants that have just begun to flower and fruit. It first causes the growing point to shrivel, then causes the leaves to curl, and finally makes the plant smaller and smaller as it grows, leading to wilting and death. Therefore, when leaf curling is first noticed, spray one of the following three pesticides: 1. Plant virus vaccine aqueous solution at 600 times dilution; 2. Plant growth regulator aqueous solution at 600 times dilution; 3. Virus A aqueous solution at 800 times dilution; spray once every 7-10 days, for two to three consecutive sprays, to prevent the occurrence of viral disease.
