After summer soybeans are sown, the soil and climatic conditions favor weed germination and growth. If chemical control is not carried out in time, it is very easy for weeds to run wild. In production, based on the characteristics of weed occurrence in summer soybean fields and the properties of herbicides, pesticides should be applied early for control.
Soil-incorporated treatment: after land preparation, apply 100-150 ml of 48% trifluralin emulsifiable concentrate or 200-150 ml of 33% pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate per mu, add 30 kg of water and spray on the soil surface, then incorporate into the top 3-5 cm of soil. This has good control efficacy against annual grass weeds.
Soil treatment: after sowing and before emergence, apply 100-150 ml of 50% acetochlor emulsifiable concentrate or 200-250 ml of 48% alachlor emulsifiable concentrate per mu, add 30-40 kg of water and spray. To broaden the weed control spectrum, you can apply 100-150 ml of 50% acetochlor emulsifiable concentrate plus 50 ml of 48% clomazone emulsifiable concentrate per mu, or 100 ml of 50% acetochlor emulsifiable concentrate plus 35-45 ml of 48% clomazone emulsifiable concentrate plus 4 g of 10% chlorimuron-methyl, add 40-50 kg of water and spray.
Foliage treatment: in fields with many grass weeds, at the 2-4 leaf stage of soybeans and the 2-5 leaf stage of weeds, apply per mu 40-70 ml of 15% fluazifop-p-butyl emulsifiable concentrate or 40-60 ml of 12.5% haloxyfop emulsifiable concentrate, 60-100 ml of 10% quizalofop emulsifiable concentrate, or 40-70 ml of 5% quizalofop-p-ethyl emulsifiable concentrate (choose any one) and spray. In fields with many broadleaf weeds, at the 1-3 leaf stage of soybeans and the 3-4 leaf stage of weeds, apply 40-50 ml of 25% bentazone aqueous solution per mu and spray. When both types of weeds occur heavily, bentazone can be mixed with fluazifop-p-butyl, haloxyfop, quizalofop-p-ethyl, or quizalofop to control both types of weeds at the same time. Application should be carried out at noon on a windless sunny day, with no less than 40 kg of water added per mu.
