1. Seedling stage disease - damping-off (seedling death). After cotton seedlings emerge, yellow-brown lesions appear at the base of the stem (where it meets the soil surface), gradually expand, become sunken and rot, turn dark brown, and the cotton seedling dies. Farmers commonly call it "black neck" disease. Within 15 days after the cotton seedlings emerge, their resistance is weakest. When low temperature and high humidity occur, seedling disease becomes severe, and the more continuous cropping there is, the worse it becomes. Therefore, two points should be grasped in prevention and control: ① Before sowing, coat the seed. For every 2-3 jin of seed, use 10 mL of Gaqiao + 50 g of Jiayuan Yiwei to dress and coat the seed.
