         Based on the principles of sesame trait correlation, plant stage development, stage nutrient uptake and factor interaction, and through research on supporting cultivation techniques, a technical system for growth promotion and control cultivation of summer sesame has been obtained.
        Technical indicators for promotion and control:
        (1) Seedling-stage plants are strong but not excessive. Seedling-stage plants are uniform and consistent, the population leaf area index is 0.6-0.8, and the budding and flowering position is below 50cm;
        (2) Plants grow rapidly at the middle stage. After flowering, plant height increases by more than 2cm per day, each plant opens 8-10 flowers per day, and the maximum population leaf area index is about 5;
        (3) Plants at the late stage are steady and do not senesce early. At the end of flowering, leaves are green, leaf area per plant is 2000cm, the leaf-to-capsule ratio per plant is 20-40cm/capsule, and the population leaf area index is about 3.5, not exceeding 4;
        (4) Uniform maturity, robust capsules and full seeds. At maturity, each plant has 50-80 effective capsules, more than 60 seeds per capsule, 1000-grain weight 2.5-3.0g, and seed yield per plant 15-20g.
        Main economic indicators: The high-yield trial and demonstration results of this technology show an average yield of 134.6kg/mu (112-154.3kg/mu), an increase of 19.68% (18.5kg/mu) over conventional high-yield cultivation techniques, and an average increase of 63.27% (51.25kg/mu) over traditional planting. The results of large-scale application demonstrations show that for this project's 8.9855 million mu, the average yield was 52.02kg, an average increase of 14.4kg/mu over the 16.25 million mu of non-demonstration areas, with an increase rate of 38.29%. Based on the growth and development process of summer sesame, this technology has developed high-yield morphological indicators and physiological parameters. By promoting material accumulation and nutrient distribution in reproductive organs, it breaks through the conventional high-yield cultivation method of increasing economic yield by increasing biological yield per unit area (per plant). The overall technology is at an advanced level domestically and internationally.
