What pests and diseases need to be controlled when growing Angelica dahurica? Please explain the control methods.

The following pests and diseases need to be controlled in Angelica dahurica cultivation:
    1. Diseases: Diseases occur relatively rarely in Angelica dahurica production, but gray leaf spot and leaf spot sometimes occur. This disease is caused by a type of imperfect fungus among the fungi, and mainly harms the leaves.

The lesions are initially dark green, then expand and become white, merging into large polygonal spots. Later, small black spots appear on the diseased leaves, and finally the leaves wither and die. The disease generally begins in early May and continues until harvest. The harm period is relatively long, and it is an important disease of Angelica dahurica. Usually, robust and disease-free leaf plants of Angelica dahurica are selected.

Control methods: To reduce the source of the disease, apply more organic fertilizer, improve the soil, and enhance disease resistance. When disease occurs in production, the former (gray leaf spot) can be treated with 1:1.5:300 Bordeaux mixture or 65% zineb 500x solution. Starting in June, spray continuously 2-3 times; the latter (leaf spot) can be sprayed with 1:1:100 Bordeaux mixture 1-2 times to prevent infection and the spread of harm.

    2. Insect pests: The insect pests of Angelica dahurica mainly cause harm during the seedling and flowering stages. Aphids, fruit borers, and yellow swallowtail butterflies commonly eat the leaves or flowers completely, affecting plant development and fruit maturation. Fruit borers bite the seeds, and in severe cases can cause no seed harvest.

Control methods: Manual capture and killing can be carried out during the larval activity period. For the former, use dimethoate 2000x solution or dichlorvos emulsifiable concentrate 1000-1500x solution for spray poisoning; for the latter, spray 90% crystalline trichlorfon 1000x solution once every 5-7 days, continuously 2-3 times.
