Now there are two solar greenhouses and I want to grow lettuce in them. How do you grow lettuce in a greenhouse? Does any friend who knows about this want to explain? For the method of growing lettuce in a solar greenhouse, you can refer to the following growing procedure (for reference).
Lettuce variety selection:
For the deep-winter crop, choose lettuce varieties with tolerance to low temperature, weak light, early maturity, high yield, disease resistance and good market quality. At present, the more suitable varieties include 14624 crisphead lettuce, flowering lettuce and glass lettuce, etc.
Lettuce seedling raising:
For deep-winter cultivation of lettuce in a solar greenhouse, sowing and seedling raising are generally done from late October to early November, planting from late November to early December, and harvesting from early January to around the Spring Festival.
Lettuce seed treatment method:
Before sowing, dress the seeds with 75% chlorothalonil powder or 50% carbendazim wettable powder, or prepare a 500-600 times solution and spray the seedbed for soil disinfection. Note that dressed seeds should be sown immediately, and must not be left overnight.
Seedbed soil selection:For the seedbed soil, choose fertile sandy loam with good water and fertilizer retention.
Seedbed soil preparation:For a 10 sq m seedbed, use 10 kg of decomposed organic fertilizer, 0.3 kg of ammonium sulfate, 0.5 kg of superphosphate and 0.2 kg of potassium chloride. Mix thoroughly, spread evenly and rake fine, water sufficiently, and sow after the water seeps in.
Lettuce seed sowing method:Broadcast sowing is generally used. During sowing, fine sandy soil can be mixed in to sow evenly. After sowing, cover with 0.3-0.5 cm of moist soil and cover with plastic film to retain moisture. The sowing rate is 30-50 g per mu.
Lettuce seedling management method:
The suitable temperature during the lettuce germination period is 15°C-20°C. When the seedlings begin to emerge, promptly remove the plastic film from the bed surface to prevent leggy growth.
The seedbed temperature is preferably 18°C-20°C during the day and 12°C-14°C at night.
Pay attention to ventilation and air exchange. In case of strong sunlight and exposure, shading is also needed. Ensure normal growth of the seedlings. When the seedlings grow to 2-3 true leaves, thin and transplant them at a plant and row spacing of 6-8 cm. When they grow to 4-5 true leaves, they can be planted out.
During the seedling stage, generally do not water if there is no water shortage. When the seedlings wilt, some water can be sprinkled, and 75% chlorothalonil 600 times solution can be sprayed 1-2 times. Combined with spraying dual-effect micro-fertilizer, this achieves the purpose of disease prevention and cultivating strong seedlings.
Lettuce seedling planting method:
Before planting, apply sufficient base fertilizer, with 3000-3500 kg of decomposed farmyard manure per mu. After spreading, deep plow, water sufficiently, and make beds after the soil dries. For deep-winter cultivation, high beds covered with film are preferable.
The day before planting, irrigate the seedbed to moisten the seedling clumps. On the second day, lift the seedlings with as much soil as possible to reduce root damage. When planting, first open furrows on the bed surface. After opening the furrows, apply 25 kg per mu of nitrogen and phosphorus compound fertilizer, then irrigate. After the water seeps in, place the seedlings at a plant spacing of 24 cm, cultivate soil and close the furrows, rake the bed surface level, cover with plastic film, and guide the seedlings out through the film.
Lettuce field management
Temperature management: after seedling establishment, keep the temperature at 18°C-22°C. During the heading period, the suitable temperature is preferably 20°C-22°C during the day and 12°C-15°C at night.
Fertilizer and water management: after planting, water to help seedling establishment, and afterward watering 3-4 times is preferable.
