After summer soybean sowing, soil and climatic conditions favor weed germination and growth, and if chemical control is not carried out in time, it can easily lead to a weed infestation. In production, herbicides should be applied early for control based on the weed occurrence characteristics in summer soybean fields and the properties of the herbicides.
Soil-incorporated treatment: after land preparation, apply 100-150 ml of 48% trifluralin emulsifiable concentrate or 200-150 ml of 33% pendimethalin emulsifiable concentrate per mu, add 30 kg of water and spray on the soil surface, then incorporate into the top 3-5 cm soil layer. It has good control efficacy against annual grass weeds.
Soil treatment: after sowing and before emergence, apply 100-150 ml of 50% acetochlor emulsifiable concentrate or 200-250 ml of 48% alachlor emulsifiable concentrate per mu, add 30-40 kg of water and spray. To broaden the weed control spectrum, you can apply 100-150 ml of 50% acetochlor emulsifiable concentrate plus 50 ml of 48% clomazone emulsifiable concentrate per mu, or 100 ml of 50% acetochlor emulsifiable concentrate plus 35-45 ml of 48% clomazone emulsifiable concentrate plus 4 g of 10% chlorimuron, add 40-50 kg of water and spray.
Foliar treatment: for fields with many grass weeds, at the 2-4 leaf stage of soybean and the 2-5 leaf stage of weeds, select per mu 40-70 ml of 15% fluazifop-p-butyl emulsifiable concentrate or 40-60 ml of 12.5% haloxyfop emulsifiable concentrate, 60-100 ml of 10% quizalofop emulsifiable concentrate, 40-70 ml of 5% quizalofop-p-ethyl emulsifiable concentrate (choose one) and spray. For fields with many broadleaf weeds, at the 1-3 leaf stage of soybean and the 3-4 leaf stage of weeds, apply 40-50 ml of 25% fomesafen aqueous solution per mu and spray.
When both types of weeds occur heavily, fomesafen can be mixed with fluazifop-p-butyl, haloxyfop, quizalofop-p-ethyl, or quizalofop to control both types of weeds. Application should be carried out at noon on a windless sunny day, with no less than 40 kg of water added per mu.
