How to control pests and diseases in the mid-to-late stages of rice? Please explain the methods in detail. The main pests and diseases that need to be controlled in the mid-to-late stages of rice are rice blast, bacterial leaf blight, stem borers, and planthoppers. You can refer to the following methods for control:
(1) Control of rice blast. During the jointing and tillering stage of rice, when central diseased plants appear in the field (early July), apply 200 ml of 40% Iprobenfos or 200 ml of Fuji-One emulsifiable concentrate per mu, diluted with 50 kg of water and sprayed, to control leaf blast 1-2 times. At 5% panicle emergence (early August) and the full heading stage (mid-August), apply 30 g of 75% tricyclazole wettable powder or 200 g of 40% sulfur-tricyclazole per mu, diluted with 50 kg of water and sprayed, to control panicle blast.
(2) Control of rice bacterial leaf blight. At the early stage of disease onset, choose "10 million units agricultural streptomycin" at 20 g/mu, "25% Yekuning" at 150-200 g/mu, or "10% Kuikuning" at 60 g/mu; dilute with 50 kg of water and spray.
(3) Rice planthoppers. During the jointing to heading and flowering stage of rice (July 10-August 10), when the field insect population density reaches 500-1,000 insects per 100 hills, apply per mu "25% pymetrozine" at 20-25 ml, "25% thiamethoxam" at 20-30 g, or "30% etofenprox" at 40 ml, diluted with 50 kg of water and sprayed.
(4) Rice stem borers, commonly known as "heart-boring worms" or "heart-twisting worms". At 5% heading of rice, apply 50 g of 98% cartap original powder or 100 g of 48% chlorpyrifos per mu, diluted with 50 kg of water and sprayed.
