When planting mint, note the following two points:
         1. Sowing    Mint should not be planted continuously on the same land. Before sowing, plow deep and harrow fine, open furrows and make beds. In production, rhizome propagation is mainly used, and cuttings propagation and division propagation can also be used. Choose rhizomes with short internodes, white color, thick and strong growth, and no pests or diseases as seed. When sowing, cut the rhizomes into small sections 6--10cm long, sow them in furrows in rows, apply dilute decomposed human urine, and cover with soil and press firm.

         2. Fertilization and irrigation    Base fertilizer should be mainly organic fertilizer; apply light seedling fertilizer, heavy branching fertilizer, and skillfully apply leaf-preserving fertilizer. The growth period of mint is short, so topdressing should be applied early and sufficiently. In dry weather, irrigate promptly, achieving fast irrigation and fast drainage. In summer, when rainfall is heavy, field water accumulation should be drained.
