Harm caused by lettuce Sclerotinia rot:After the plant is infected, the leaf stalks near the ground first rot and turn cream-yellow, then the leaves wither, and then the whole plant rots.
When humidity is high, white cottony growth appears on the diseased parts, and later black mouse-dropping-shaped sclerotia form inside and outside the stem; the leaves of the diseased plant turn yellow, wilt, and the whole plant dies. The sclerotia in the soil produce apothecia in autumn or spring that release ascospores, which spread through the air.

Control methods for lettuce Sclerotinia rot:
1. Irrigate the field before land preparation; this can cause the sclerotia to die.

         2. In rainy weather in early spring, in protected cultivation it is recommended to apply 250 g of 45% yixunling or 1000 g of 50% chlorothalonil dust per mu, once a week, for 2 to 3 consecutive times.

         3. You may choose 50% procymidone wettable powder at 1000-1200 times dilution, 50% vinclozolin wettable powder at 1000 times dilution, 40% pyrimethanil suspension concentrate at 800 times dilution, 65% procymidone wettable powder at 600-800 times dilution, 40% pyrimethanil wettable powder at 600 times dilution, 40% dimethachlon wettable powder at 500 times dilution, 50% benomyl powder at 1500 times dilution, or 50% iprodione wettable powder at 600-800 times dilution for spraying, once every 7-10 days, for 3 to 4 consecutive times.
