How to sterilize and disinfect pepper seedlings? A detailed guide to pepper growing techniques
How to sterilize and disinfect pepper seedlings? Please explain the methods. Peppers are especially susceptible to infection by fungi, bacteria, and viruses, which cause root rot, Fusarium wilt, angular leaf spot, anthracnose, and viral diseases, leading to rotten roots and dead seedlings, dropped buds and rotten peppers, fallen leaves and withered branches, and bunchy top with curled leaves, affecting yield and in severe cases even causing total crop failure. How to sterilize and disinfect pepper seedlings? Please explain the methodsPeppers are especially susceptible to infection by fungi, bacteria, and viruses, which cause root rot, Fusarium wilt, angular leaf spot, anthracnose, and viral diseases, leading to rotten roots and dead seedlings, dropped buds and rotten peppers, fallen leaves and withered branches, and bunchy top with curled leaves, affecting yield and in severe cases even causing total crop failure. So disease control needs to start from the pepper seedlings. The operation methods are as follows:
Before transplanting the seedlings, spray the leaves once with a mixture of 800-fold Liyi (1.4% oligosaccharins·acetic acid salt) and 600-fold plant virus vaccine (0.5% fungal polysaccharide), and drench the roots once with an 800-fold Bacillus subtilis aqueous solution, to kill and eliminate various pathogens attached to the stems and leaves and lurking in the soil, and to deactivate virus activity.
After the seedlings are transplanted and established, drench the roots once every 10-15 days with a 1500-fold Guandikang active biological bacteria aqueous solution, applying continuously 3-4 times, each time 0.5-1 kg per plant, evenly poured into the soil around the roots of the pepper seedlings. At the same time, every 7-10 days spray the leaves once with a 500-fold 5% Ningnanmycin aqueous solution, or an 800-fold 50% chlorobromoisocyanuric acid aqueous solution, or an 800-fold Liyi (1.4% oligosaccharins·acetic acid salt) aqueous solution, spraying continuously 5-6 times, evenly wetting all stems and leaves, until water droplets begin to drip down. By killing and eliminating the fungi and bacteria infecting the pepper plants and inhibiting virus activity, you can ensure that autumn-planted peppers do not become infected by various diseases.
