The harm anthracnose does to honeysuckle:
Anthracnose is a fungal disease. Affected leaves show various types of lesion symptoms. In humid conditions, reddish-brown dot-like sticky substances form on the lesions in the later stages, and in severe cases it can cause a large amount of leaf drop and even rot of the entire plant base, also known as base rot or root rot.
Mature plantations, especially those that have undergone winter cultivation and those under extensive management with poor plant growth and low-lying terrain, are severely affected.

Honeysuckle anthracnose generally occurs from March to April and from September to October.

Prevention and control methods for honeysuckle anthracnose:

1. Remove residual plants and diseased leaves and burn them in a centralized manner.

2. Before transplanting, soak the seedlings in 1:1:150-200 Bordeaux mixture for 5 to 10 minutes.

3. During the disease period, spray 65% zineb 500x solution or 50% Tuzet 800 to 1000x solution.
