When planting honeysuckle, you can refer to the following methods for fertilizing and watering:

       1. Fertilization method for honeysuckle:
To ease the conflict between honeysuckle growth and bud formation and meet the needs of flower bud development, after each crop of flower buds is harvested, topdressing should be carried out. For each mature plant, apply 0.3-0.4 kg of N, P, K compound fertilizer, or 0.3 kg of diammonium plus 0.1-0.2 kg of potassium sulfate. For small trees, reduce the amount as appropriate.

The fertilization method is to apply in multiple holes around the outer edge of the canopy, at a depth of 15-20 cm.
For foliar spraying, choose fertilizers such as urea, monopotassium phosphate, and borax, and check the borax price. Hormone-type fertilizers are strictly prohibited, and the application time should be moved earlier to before the young bud stage.

        2. Irrigation and drainage of honeysuckle:
Honeysuckle grows quickly in summer and has a large transpiration rate, so it should be irrigated promptly according to drought conditions. After each fertilization, it should also be irrigated promptly to facilitate the tree's absorption and use of fertilizer. The irrigation standard is 60-80% of the maximum field water-holding capacity.

Long-term water accumulation in the honeysuckle garden will inhibit root respiration, cause leaf drop, affect yield, and in severe cases cause death. Therefore, drainage facilities should be built in advance to allow timely drainage during the rainy season.
