Zhongdi Web has compiled the harm and control methods of garland chrysanthemum anthracnose, listed below for netizens' reference.

  Harm of garland chrysanthemum anthracnose:
Anthracnose in garland chrysanthemum mainly harms the leaves and stems. When leaves are infected, small white to yellow-brown spots first appear, then expand into irregular or round brown spots with slightly raised edges, 2 to 5 mm in size. When stems are infected, small yellow-brown spots first appear, then expand into long strip-shaped or oval slightly sunken brown spots; after the lesion encircles the stem, the diseased stem turns brown and shrinks, causing the part above the diseased area or the whole plant to die. When humidity is high, a red-brown liquid, namely the secretion of the pathogen, oozes from the diseased part.

  Causes of garland chrysanthemum anthracnose:
The pathogen overwinters on diseased residues in the form of mycelium and conidia, and conidia carry out primary infection and reinfection. It spreads through rain splashing and the activity of small insects. Generally, warm and rainy weather and ecological environments favor the occurrence and epidemic of this disease. Excessive application of nitrogen fertilizer and vigorous plant growth lead to severe disease.

  Control methods for garland chrysanthemum anthracnose
Method 1: Apply more organic fertilizer  at 4000 to 4500 kg per mu, and apply nitrogen fertilizer appropriately. Keep plants healthy but not over-luxuriant, enhancing disease resistance.

Method 2: Use chemical agents for control:
1. Spray with 50% carbendazim wettable powder at 500 times dilution;
2. Spray with 80% Pencozeb wettable powder at 600 to 800 times dilution;

3. Alternately spray with 70% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder at 1000 to 1200 times dilution; at the early stage of disease, spray once every 7 days for 3 consecutive sprays.
