Zhongdi Web has compiled the various agents sprayed on peanuts at each growth stage and the reasons for them, listed below for netizens' reference.

 1. Spraying hormones to control excessive growth and prevent lodging:
For peanut fields with relatively high soil fertility, good water and fertilizer conditions, and vigorous plant growth (spring peanuts with main stems higher than 45 cm, summer peanuts with main stems higher than 40 cm), excessive growth and lodging should be controlled.

You can use 30 g to 40 g of paclobutrazol wettable powder per mu mixed with 50 kg of water for spraying, or 50 g of daminozide mixed with 75 kg of water for spraying. After spraying, effects appear in 2 to 3 days, growth slows down, and internodes become shorter.
As for the timing of spraying, it should be controlled at the time when the plants close the rows and effective pegs enter the soil. Spraying too early will cause the plants to be short and small, while spraying too late will give poor results.

  2. Spraying leaf fertilizer to prevent premature senescence:
About one month before harvest, according to plant growth, spray the peanut-specific leaf fertilizer Kangpu No. 2, using 250 g per mu mixed with 50 kg of water for spraying, or use spray-type peanut pod-setting treasure 80 g mixed with 60 kg of water for spraying.

  3. Spraying agents to control diseases and insect pests:
The main disease of peanuts is leaf spot, which occurs more severely in the rainy season. Its symptoms are: brown or black lesions form on the leaves, and in severe cases they also infect leaf stalks and stems. It generally occurs in the late growth stage. You can spray with 2000 times to 3000 times dilution of 86.2% copper master wettable powder or 800 times to 1000 times dilution of 70% thiophanate-methyl wettable powder, once every 7 to 10 days, for 2 to 3 consecutive sprays.

The main insect pests of peanuts are aphids and grubs. When aphids occur, you can spray with 2500 times to 3000 times dilution of 4.5% Shennongjian emulsifiable concentrate or 800 times to 1600 times dilution of 30% Wushi Shendao emulsifiable oil. For adult grubs, spray with 1500 times to 2000 times dilution of 20% Dahongying emulsifiable oil; when the infestation is severe, you can drench the roots with 800 times dilution of 40% phoxim emulsifiable oil, and the effect is better before rain.
