Harm of leaf blight in Salvia miltiorrhiza:
Leaf blight in Salvia miltiorrhiza mainly harms the leaves of Salvia miltiorrhiza. The lower leaves of the plant are affected first, then it gradually spreads upward. In the early stage of the disease, small brown round spots appear on the leaf surface; afterward the spots continuously expand, with the center turning grayish brown. Finally the leaves scorch and dry up, and the plant dies, seriously affecting the yield of Salvia miltiorrhiza.

Control methods for leaf blight in Salvia miltiorrhiza:

         1. Select vigorous seeds, and before sowing soak the seeds in 1:1:100 Bordeaux mixture for 10 minutes.
         2. Apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer to enhance the plant's disease resistance; open drainage ditches promptly after rain to reduce field humidity.

         3. Chemical control methods for leaf blight in Salvia miltiorrhiza: In the early stage of the disease, choose 50% carbendazim 600-fold solution, 65% zineb 600-fold solution, or 50% zineb 500-fold solution and other agents for spraying, at an interval of 10 to 15 days, spraying continuously 2 to 3 times.
