To get a good harvest from growing Achyranthes bidentata, management is needed, and the management methods can refer to the following:

          1. Seedling protection: after sowing, keep a certain humidity in the field, and seedlings will emerge in 7-10 days. If drought occurs, water promptly to protect the seedlings.

          2. Thinning and fixing: when the seedlings are 5-10cm tall, thinning and fixing should be carried out, removing the weak and keeping the strong, generally keeping 1-2 robust seedlings at a spacing of about 15cm. If there are gaps, choose a cloudy day to fill them in promptly.

         3. Cultivation and loosening the soil. Achyranthes bidentata generally emerges 7-10 days after sowing. When the seedlings are 2-3 cm tall, carry out cultivation and loosening of the soil, and at the same time thin the seedlings and remove weeds.

         4. Water appropriately. Before emergence and during the seedling stage, keep the bed surface moist. If drought occurs, water promptly so as to keep the surface soil dry and loose and the lower soil moist, which helps the roots grow downward. After mid-August, the main root basically stops growing downward, so the irrigation amount should be appropriately increased to help the main root thicken.

        5. Topdress in time. During the growth period of Achyranthes bidentata, topdress 1-2 times, mainly with phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. Generally, no topdressing is applied in the early stage. About 1 month after thinning and fixing, the first topdressing should be carried out together with cultivation and weeding, applying 4-5 kg of monoammonium phosphate, 10 kg of urea, and 2-3 kg of potassium dihydrogen phosphate per mu. The second topdressing should be done in September-October during the vigorous growth period by opening furrows between the rows and applying 1000kg of human and livestock manure water per mu, then covering with soil.

        6. Remove flower stems: when Achyranthes bidentata is about 50cm tall, remove the flowering stems growing from the top in batches in time, so that nutrients are concentrated in root growth.
