Zhongdi Network has compiled the growing environment suitable for Paris polyphylla, listed below for readers' reference.

Paris polyphylla is also known as Zaoxiu, Baiganzhu, Caoheche and Jinxian Chonglou; its rhizome is a well-known Chinese medicinal material. Paris polyphylla is a perennial herbaceous plant of the Liliaceae family; in fact, its rhizome is perennial, while its stems and leaves die back after 1 year. It has a relatively long overwintering period and a relatively short vegetative growth period, because the reproductive growth period of Paris polyphylla is relatively long.

The growing environment of Paris polyphylla favors warmth, abundant moisture and shade, but it also fears frost and low sunlight. Paris polyphylla is suitable for growing in areas with an annual average temperature of 11°C and annual average rainfall of 900-1100mm. Paris polyphylla has high medicinal value and good market prospects.

The planting site for Paris polyphylla should preferably be selected as sandy loam with deep soil layers, good drainage and loose fertility. Paris polyphylla does not require deep plowing for planting; before planting, simply plow and harrow the land, level it and make beds. Apply sufficient base fertilizer.

Generally, Paris polyphylla is propagated by rhizome. Place the seed rhizome in each hole and cover with fine soil. It is best to spray the soil surface with Xin Gao Zhi Mo, which can preserve soil moisture, prevent water evaporation, protect against sun and drought, keep warm and prevent freezing, prevent soil crusting, suffocate and isolate sources of disease and insects, and improve the seedling emergence rate.

For fertilizing Paris polyphylla, cake fertilizer and plant ash are suitable; before each topdressing, weeds must first be removed and the soil loosened. When it is dry with little rain, watering must be done in the morning and evening so that the seedlings and leaves of Paris polyphylla grow normally. Spraying Paris polyphylla with Medicinal Root Da Ling at the appropriate time can transport the products of leaf photosynthesis (nutrients) to the root system, improve the nutrient conversion rate and soil-loosening capacity, make the rhizome expand rapidly, and greatly increase the medicinal content.
