The price of maca per jin depends mainly on its origin, grade and quality
Maca is a cruciferous plant native to the Andes Mountains of South America, also known as maca; its fleshy root is edible and it grows well in high-altitude cool regions. At present, it has been introduced and cultivated in places such as Yunnan and Tibet in China, and two forms are commonly seen on the market: dried slices and fresh roots. Because origin, form and grade vary greatly, there is no single answer to how much maca costs; the price usually fluctuates with quality.
Several factors mainly affect the price of maca. First, origin and growing conditions: maca produced in highland areas has a long growth cycle and full nutrient accumulation, so the price is generally higher. Second, variety and color: yellow maca, purple maca and black maca are common, and black maca is relatively scarce, so its selling price tends to be higher. Third, specification and processing method: products that are plump, evenly sliced and properly dried are more accepted by the market, so their price is naturally a bit higher.
When buying, a few points are worth noting. Give priority to sellers with reliable channels and complete packaging information, observe whether the dried slices have a natural color and no pungent odor, and avoid products that are damp, moldy or over-processed. When choosing fresh maca, roots with intact skin, firm texture and no obvious damage are best. Do not blindly trust high prices, but also be wary of products with absurdly low prices, so as to avoid being passed off inferior goods as good ones.
Maca is often sliced and steeped in water, stewed in soup or ground into powder for drinking, and in folk usage it is mostly used as a nourishing food ingredient. It should be noted that daily consumption should be moderate; special groups such as those with chronic diseases or those taking medication should first consult professionals before deciding whether to eat it, view advertising rationally, and buy according to need for a more reliable approach.
