What Kind of Fertilizer Is Organic-Inorganic Phosphate Fertilizer and an Introduction to Its Application Characteristics
Organic-inorganic phosphate fertilizer refers to a type of phosphorus fertilizer made by using decomposed organic materials as a carrier, mixed with phosphorus-containing chemical fertilizers such as superphosphate and calcium magnesium phosphate, and processed through granulation and other techniques. It combines the soil-nourishing effect of organic fertilizer with the quick-acting nature of chemical phosphate fertilizer, so it can both supplement phosphorus nutrients and improve soil structure and tilth.
In terms of nutrient characteristics, the water-soluble phosphorus in this type of fertilizer can be absorbed by crops relatively quickly, while citrate-soluble phosphorus and organic phosphorus are gradually decomposed and released in the soil, providing nutrients over a relatively longer period. The organic components can also reduce the risk of phosphorus being fixed by the soil and lost, which helps to some extent in improving phosphorus use efficiency.
The organic-inorganic compound phosphate fertilizers commonly seen on the market are mostly granular products. They are generally applied as a base fertilizer, and can also be used as a seed fertilizer or hole fertilizer when sowing or transplanting. When applying, it is best to apply deeply and concentrate it near the roots. For acidic soil, alkaline varieties such as calcium magnesium phosphate can be selected, while for neutral or calcareous soil, water-soluble varieties such as superphosphate are more suitable.
During application, attention should be paid to rational combination with nitrogen fertilizer and potassium fertilizer. The amount used should preferably refer to the results of soil available phosphorus testing and the fertilizer requirements of the crop, avoiding blindly increasing inputs. During storage, keep it away from moisture and rain to prevent caking and deterioration. If it has already caked, it can be broken up and sieved before use. Scientific use of organic-inorganic phosphate fertilizer has positive significance for building soil fertility and improving crop quality.
