NPK sulfur-containing compound fertilizer refers to a compound fertilizer that contains sulfur in addition to the three major nutrients nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The sulfur in it is usually provided in the form of sulfate, and the potassium source is mostly potassium sulfate, so this type of fertilizer generally has a relatively low chloride ion content and a more complete nutrient composition.

Compared with ordinary chlorine-based compound fertilizer, NPK sulfur-containing compound fertilizer not only supplies the three major elements but also supplements sulfur, a secondary nutrient. Sulfur is an important component for crops in synthesizing proteins and various enzymes, and it plays a positive role in improving the quality of some crops. The sulfate in the fertilizer has good water solubility, and nutrient release is relatively steady, making it suitable for most field crops, vegetables and fruit trees.

In terms of crop selection, sulfur-loving and chlorine-sensitive crops such as tobacco, potato, grape, citrus and alliums are more suitable for the application of sulfur-containing compound fertilizer. In sulfur-deficient sandy soil, or in plots where only sulfur-free chemical fertilizers have been applied for a long time, supplementing with sulfur-containing fertilizer can often improve problems such as yellowing leaves and weak growth.

During application, it can generally be used as a base fertilizer or topdressing. It is recommended to apply it deeply and then cover with soil, avoiding direct contact between the fertilizer and seeds or roots to prevent seed and root burn. The specific amount should be flexibly adjusted according to soil fertility, crop type and growth stage, and chlorine-sensitive crops can give priority to it. When storing, it should be placed in a cool and dry place, attention should be paid to moisture-proofing and caking prevention, and it should be used up as soon as possible after opening the bag.
