To identify the quality of compound fertilizer, you can refer to the following methods:
Check the outer packaging. The outer packaging of products from regular manufacturers is relatively standard, printed with the product name, trademark, national standard, production license number, the common NPK ratio of compound fertilizer, total nutrient content, net weight, manufacturer, factory address and contact telephone number, etc. If the bag is marked with "S", potassium sulfate is used as the potassium source; if there is no mark or it is marked with "Cl", potassium chloride is used as the potassium source. You should choose what to buy according to the crop being planted. However, the packaging quality of compound fertilizer produced by some irregular manufacturers is relatively poor, and the printed items are incomplete and not standard.
Check the fertilizer appearance. Products from regular manufacturers have uniform granules, consistent color, no caking, and good water solubility. Generally, compound fertilizer with ammonium carbonate as the nitrogen source dissolves faster than that with urea as the nitrogen source, and columnar extrusion granulation dissolves faster than spherical granulation. If a bag of compound fertilizer is caked, and if urea is the nitrogen source and the lumps break apart as soon as they are thrown, there is no problem with the quality, and the fertilizer efficiency will not be affected after application; otherwise, the fertilizer efficiency is poor.

Check the fertilizer nutrient content. There are many varieties of compound fertilizer on the market, and the differences lie sometimes in the nutrient content, and sometimes in the different ratios of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium at the same nutrient content level. When buying fertilizer, looking only at the price and not at the content, and buying whichever is cheaper, is unscientific. A bag of fertilizer being cheap does not necessarily mean it is a good deal; you must clearly check the total nutrient content in the fertilizer before deciding which fertilizer to buy.
