Origin: Sichuan. This plant has a medium-short leaf type, with leaf variegation in the form of leaf butterflies, and its flowers open as a proper three-star (sanxing) form. This plant is of medium leaf type, and its leaves bear very beautiful leaf butterflies; its flowering form has been very stable over multiple bloomings. It is a new wild-collected cultivar of Cymbidium ensifolium. When it was first introduced, it was a dragon-root seedling; the plant was very small and the leaves very thin, and it was brought in as a Cymbidium kanran (cold orchid); only after growing it to flowering did we realize it was a Cymbidium ensifolium.
