Cage Culture of Tilapia: Good Feeding Management in Four Aspects
1. Feed selection. The choice of feed not only affects the growth rate of the fish, but also determines whether fish farming is profitable. The principles for feed selection: palatable, fresh, fully nutritious, reasonably priced. It is advisable to choose extruded (floating) feed produced by reputable, large-scale feed manufacturers; generally do not use sinking compound feed, as sinking compound feed will be wasted because the fish cannot snap it up in time.

Hatchling turtle rearing has its finer points: these eight breeding techniques must be mastered
Turtles hatched from eggs are called hatchlings. When hatchlings emerge from the shell, they generally weigh 3 to 13 grams, with tender bodies and weak mobility, and they do not adapt well to the environment. If not carefully reared, they easily die. Therefore, doing a good job of rearing hatchlings is the most critical part of turtle farming. The following introduces eight

A guide to mastering large-water-area river crab farming from five aspects
River crab, also known as hairy crab or crab, with the scientific name Chinese mitten crab (Eriocheir sinensis), commonly inhabits waters with fresh water quality and abundant aquatic plants, and has the characteristic of being active at night and resting by day, generally coming out at night to move about and feed. Each year from June to September is the peak period for river crab activity and feeding. Large-water-area farm

Techniques for Separating Mother Scorpions from Baby Scorpions in Scorpion Farming
1. Separation time: carry out the separation when the baby scorpions have shed their white fibrous embryonic skin and changed from white to orange-red, and their tail segments are turned upward. 2. Separation methods. 1. Picking separation method. After the baby scorpions have climbed off the mother's back, in the evening pick out with chopsticks or tweezers the postpartum mother scorpions that are active outside and have shrunken forebodies, while the remaining baby scorpions stay in the original scorpion pool for rearing. This method is suitable for smaller-scale scorpion farming such as adobe birthing rooms, cement slab birthing rooms and wooden board nest-cell birthing rooms. 2. Glass separation method. First pick out the postpartum mother scorpions with chopsticks and rear them elsewhere, then gently pour the baby scorpions together with the rearing soil from the birthing room onto a glass plate in the middle of another rearing basin, place a wide-mouthed glass bottle under the glass plate, and the baby scorpions will slowly crawl toward the edge of the glass plate and fall into the rearing basin; finally, pour away the rearing soil on the glass plate. This method is suitable for smaller-scale scorpion farming. 3. Separation sieve method. Between pools, build a separation sieve 15-20 cm long, 10-20 cm high and with a pore diameter of 0.3 cm; the separation sieve only allows 2nd-instar scorpions to pass through, while the mother scorpions cannot get through. This method is suitable for large-scale scorpion farming. 4. Automatic separation slide method. Inside the scorpion pool, build a small pool whose bottom is 10-20 cm higher than the large pool, with surrounding edges forming a slope at a 60-degree angle to the floor of the large pool, and lay glass plates on the slope so that scorpions can only slide down and cannot climb up. The four walls of the small pool are glued together from 4 glass plates, and between the four walls and the pool bottom leave a narrow gap 0.3 cm high through which only baby scorpions can pass. During separation, pour the mother and baby scorpions from the birthing room together into the small pool; the baby scorpions pass through the narrow gap and slide down the slope into the large pool, while the mother scorpions remain in the small pool. This method is suitable for larger-scale scorpion farming. 5. Automatic separation box method. Between pools, at a height of 10-15 cm above the ground, build a separation box whose length and width are both 15-20 cm and whose height is 10-20 cm. On the side near the baby scorpion pool, make a slope at a 60-degree angle downward from the bottom plate of the separation box, and between the glass baffle of the separation box and the bottom plate leave a narrow gap 0.3 cm high. During separation, put the mother and baby scorpions together into the separation box; only the baby scorpions can pass through this narrow gap and fall into another rearing pool, and they cannot climb back up, thereby achieving the purpose of automatic separation. This method is suitable for large-scale scorpion farming.

What to pay attention to when keeping ground beetles for breeding stock
When ground beetles (Eupolyphaga sinensis) are taken from the wild and switched to artificial rearing, there is the problem of keeping breeding stock. Although artificial rearing has not been carried out for long, because the issue of keeping breeding stock was not given attention in the early stage, problems of stock degeneration have also appeared, showing as deformed bodies, reduced egg production, weakened vitality, etc., so

Diagnosis and Treatment Methods for Donkey Diseases, a Must-Read for Donkey Keepers
In terms of habits, meat donkeys are more tolerant of coarse feed than horses, cattle and other livestock, and have stronger disease resistance, but this does not mean they do not get sick. Donkeys have a strong tolerance for ordinary diseases, so during diagnosis and treatment, attention must be paid to this in order to prevent the occurrence of epidemics. 1. Donkey diseases

Breeding pigeon management experience sharing, a must-read for pigeon keepers
Pigeons that have been transferred from growing pigeons to paired pigeons are called breeding pigeons; adult pigeons that have been paired and are preparing to lay eggs or are incubating and brooding are called laying pigeons; pigeons that are already raising squabs are called parent pigeons. Since breeding pigeons have different physiological characteristics and breeding purposes at different production stages,

What are the precautions for introducing breeding stock in mutton sheep farming
They must be introduced from qualified farms, strictly in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, from non-epidemic areas. The breeding sheep farms from which they are introduced must have a breeding livestock and poultry production and operation license and an animal epidemic prevention certificate, and the introduced breeding sheep must have a quarantine certificate and pedigree records. Operating Procedures for the Feeding and Management of Hu Sheep Breeding Rams
From the individual standpoint, a ram's contribution is the same as a ewe's, but from the population standpoint, a ram's contribution is 100-300 times greater than a ewe's. Only first-grade and second-grade rams may be retained as breeding stock. An organism's phenotype = genetics (G) + environment (E), so providing good feeding and management for an excellent ram is extremely important work.

How can pig farming profits be improved? Breed selection and feeding are key
Choose to raise lean-type crossbred pigs. Lean-type crossbred pigs grow quickly, use less feed, have strong disease resistance, good reproductive performance, and the average litter size is 3 to 4 more pigs than that of fat-type pigs. The efficiency of feed conversion into fat is 4:1, while conversion into lean meat
