Pea Pictures: Showing the Appearance and Growing Uses of Peas
Wandou is a common way of writing the name of the pea; its formal name is pea (Pisum sativum), an annual climbing herbaceous plant in the Fabaceae family. Its tender stems and leaves, tender pods, and mature seeds are all edible, and it is cultivated in various parts of the country, so there are many pea pictures online, often used for variety identification, educational learning, and growing reference.
From common pea pictures, the plant has slender, soft stems, pinnately compound leaves with tendrils at the tips, and can climb supports to grow upward. The flowers are mostly white or light purple, typically papilionaceous, and after flowering they produce flat or slightly swollen pods, with round green seeds neatly arranged inside. The leaves of pea seedlings are delicate and spread out, and are also a common subject in image materials.
Common types can be roughly divided into several categories: the hard-podded pea grown for its tender seeds, customarily called green pea; the soft-podded type grown for its tender pods, commonly known as snow pea or sugar pea; and the pea sprouts and pea shoots specially harvested for their tender tips as a vegetable. The differences among varieties in pictures are mainly reflected in pod thickness, degree of seed swelling, and plant height.
Besides being ornamental, pea pictures are also often used to help identify varieties and distinguish similar crops; for example, when compared with broad bean, pod shape and tendrils are good references. When choosing image materials, priority can be given to overall photos where leaves, tendrils, flowers, and pods can all be seen clearly, making identification more intuitive. Growers can also use pictures to observe growth; situations such as yellowing or curling leaves are often related to water and fertilizer management or pests and diseases, and need timely attention.
