The leaves of the earring plant are thick and fleshy like earrings; master the care methods and it is both easy to grow and beautiful
The earring plant is a common succulent, named for its thick, plump leaves that resemble earrings. It belongs to the Crassulaceae family, with a small plant form and juicy stems and leaves; with proper care it easily grows into clusters or a trailing habit, making it highly ornamental.
The earring plant likes a sunny, warm and dry environment, is drought-tolerant and afraid of waterlogging, and is suitable for cultivation in loose, breathable, well-draining granular soil. When watering normally, stick to watering thoroughly only after the soil has dried out; standing water in the pot easily causes root rot. When light is insufficient, the plant tends to grow leggy and the leaf color fades; during the high temperatures of summer and the low temperatures of winter, pay attention to controlling water and maintaining ventilation.
Its propagation method is simple, commonly by leaf cuttings or beheading cuttings. Lay healthy, plump leaves flat on slightly moist soil, keep them in indirect light and a certain humidity, and they will soon take root and sprout, with a relatively high survival rate.
The earring plant is suitable for placement on windowsills, desks or balconies, and can also be grown as a hanging basket for suspended care, adding greenery to the home environment. In daily care, if the leaves are found to be soft and falling off, it is mostly related to overwatering or lack of light; simply adjust the environment in time and it will gradually recover.
