At noon on August 2, a video of two people fighting each other circulated online. According to netizen reports, it was a fight between Ning Fanggang (Weibo name @Burn Superman Abao), a doctor at Beijing Jishuitan Hospital, and a patient. @Time News learned from authoritative sources that one of the parties in the video is indeed Ning Fanggang, and police are conducting further investigation to verify the exact sequence of events.

According to netizen reports, a doctor-patient brawl occurred at Jishuitan Hospital, during which the doctor raised a hemostatic forceps threatening to stab the patient. Netizens identified the doctor involved as Sina Weibo mega-influencer with a million followers, Burn Superman Abao.

A diagnostic certificate circulated online, which has been confirmed to belong to Ning Fanggang, namely Burn Superman Abao.

According to @A Somewhat Idealistic Journalist, because Abao heavily criticized the Shandong CDC over the vaccine scandal and was subsequently reported, both his main and alternate accounts are currently banned from posting, so he cannot speak for himself; therefore, the information learned was briefly posted on his own account. Ultimately, the police and the personal accounts of both parties shall prevail.

1. The person sitting on top and hitting people is not Abao; Abao was wearing a blue-gray striped T-shirt under his white coat that day (Figure 1). The person hitting people was wearing black and red clothing (Figure 2).

2. The conflict was initially started by the male patient, who kicked Abao in the stomach several times. Figure 3 shows the marks on the white coat from the kicks; police have collected physical evidence.

3. The dressing forceps (Figure 4) is not a hemostatic forceps (Figure 5), and certainly not scissors. The dressing forceps has a blunt tip; the difference in lethality is comparable to a water pistol versus a Gatling gun (some people argue that even a toothpick can blind an eye, but there is no reasoning with that). Moreover, outpatient consultation rooms do not have hemostatic forceps. Abao himself stated that the claim he raised a hemostatic forceps to stab the patient is pure rumor; in reality, he just grabbed something to defend himself. "Can't a doctor who is being beaten defend himself?"

4. Regarding the initial cause of the incident, a doctor at Jishuitan Hospital said, "It was triggered by a trivial matter; maybe a more senior doctor with a better temper could have just endured it and it would have passed." ~~ The final details shall be based on the personal accounts of both parties including Abao, and the police handling results.
