Now, as people's living standards gradually improve, more and more people are taking up growing flowers and plants. For example, kalanchoe, pothos, clivia and other flowering plants - growing flowers makes people feel relaxed and happy, pleasing to the eye, and crucially it can also purify the air, absorb formaldehyde and harmful gases, so more and more people are taking up growing flowers.

Kalanchoe is a perennial succulent herb with dense, emerald-green leaves and flowers that cluster into dense balls in a rich range of colors. It is a much-loved indoor potted flowering plant, and its natural flowering period usually begins in late December and can last until early May of the following year, which is how it got the name kalanchoe.

Because of its auspicious meaning, kalanchoe is grown by many flower lovers, but in the process of caring for it we may run into some problems, such as yellowing leaves, failure to bloom and so on. Although kalanchoe can still serve as an ornamental plant even when it does not bloom without losing its ornamental value, it is even more beautiful when it does bloom, clustering into dense balls in a rich range of colors!

In fact, if you want your kalanchoe to grow into a big ball of flowers, clustering into dense balls, you only need to use one little trick, and that is to add this "thing" to the pot - then you won't need to fertilize for 365 days, and the flowers will still fill the pot! Today let's all learn about it together!

I believe everyone has eaten eggs, right? So when you eat eggs, do you just throw the eggshells straight into the trash? In fact, eggshells are a great flower fertilizer for kalanchoe. Put them in the kalanchoe pot, and you won't need to fertilize for 365 days, yet the flowers will still fill the pot!

This is because eggshells contain a large amount of calcium and other trace elements, and if we want our kalanchoe to bloom continuously, calcium is indispensable. A lack of calcium reduces the kalanchoe's ability to absorb water; when water uptake is blocked it cannot supply water to the flowers, so they easily wither, and it is even worse if you want the kalanchoe to grow well. So using eggs to grow kalanchoe can provide it with ample nutrients.

After we wash the eggshells and dry them in the sun - they must be washed and sun-dried, otherwise they will attract insects - wrap them in a bag and smash them with a hammer to get small fragments. Mixed into the soil this way, they break down quickly and can better promote kalanchoe growth. Then we keep the composting medium slightly moist but not wet, and stir it appropriately once a week, so that after half a year we get fertilizer rich in calcium, and you can go a full 365 days without fertilizing your kalanchoe at all!
