How to control strawberry aphids? Detailed measures and precautions
The market demand for strawberries is growing larger and larger now, and the number of people growing strawberries is also increasing year by year, while aphids are unavoidable in the process of strawberry production. So how should strawberry aphids be controlled? And what should be noted? Come and learn about it with the editor.

I. Control measures
1. Agricultural control
After aphid damage occurs, old leaves and diseased leaves should be removed promptly, and surrounding weeds should be cleared promptly, so as to avoid giving aphids the possibility of further spread.
2. Physical control
Insect-proof nets should be set up promptly at ventilation points, and the yellow-tropism of aphids can also be used by setting up yellow sticky boards inside the greenhouse to trap and kill them. Generally, 10-20 boards are used per greenhouse, hung at a height slightly 10-20 cm above the strawberry plants, to trap and kill winged aphids. Note that they need to be replaced regularly.
3. Biological control
In the early stage of aphid occurrence, the natural enemies of aphids can be used for control. The common natural enemy of aphids is mainly the ladybug; 100 cards (each card 20 eggs) can be released per mu to prey on aphids. At the same time, attention should also be paid to protecting natural enemies such as green lacewings, hoverflies, and aphid parasitoid wasps, to ensure a good control effect.
4. Chemical control
Pesticides such as thiamethoxam, acetamiprid, and abamectin emulsifiable concentrate can be sprayed for control, but attention should be paid to rotating the pesticides to avoid developing resistance. At the same time, when spraying, try to avoid the strawberry flowering period to avoid phytotoxicity, and when applying the pesticide, the bees must be moved out of the greenhouse.
II. Precautions
1. Aphids are relatively small and mainly concentrate on the back of leaves, so when spraying, spray thoroughly and evenly.
2. Pay attention to alternating the use of pesticides to avoid developing resistance; for example, pymetrozine, thiacloprid, spirotetramat, and flonicamid can be chosen.
3. Aphids are most likely to spread viral diseases, so they can be controlled together with moroxydine hydrochloride, amino-oligosaccharins, and fungal polysaccharides.
