What should be noted when planting Sterculia nobilis
Sterculia nobilis is also called pingpo seeds, and it is still relatively rare on the market at present. Because Sterculia nobilis has the effects of aiding digestion and detoxifying and killing insects, it is also an uncommon Chinese medicinal material and can be used to treat vomiting of food, abdominal pain caused by worm accumulation, and sores on children's heads. Because Sterculia nobilis has extremely strong resistance and strong adaptability to the environment, many growers ignore many problems when planting it. So today the editor wants to remind everyone of several issues that need attention when planting Sterculia nobilis. Let's learn about them together.

1. Light
Sterculia nobilis is very sensitive to light, so we must pay close attention, especially during the period from seed harvesting to sowing. We cannot let the seeds of Sterculia nobilis be exposed to sunlight, otherwise it will cause the seeds to lose water and affect the germination rate, so we need to provide shading when sowing. However, the later growth of Sterculia nobilis depends greatly on light and requires sufficient light, so that the yield of Sterculia nobilis can be increased, and the taste of the Sterculia nobilis produced is also better.
2. Density
In order to maintain ventilation and light transmission in the field, we generally need to plan the planting density when planting. When the planting conditions meet the standards, generally 33 Sterculia nobilis trees can be planted per mu, that is, the row spacing is about 5 m and the plant spacing is about 4 m. In addition, in order to maintain the density between trees, during the growth of Sterculia nobilis trees, we also need to scientifically prune branches and leaves, not only thinning dense branches, weak branches, diseased branches, and dead branches, but also controlling the main branches at the top of the trunk.
3. Humidity
Sterculia nobilis has a large demand for water, especially during its flowering period and fruit-setting period. Therefore, during the growth of Sterculia nobilis trees, we should water frequently to maintain soil humidity and air humidity. In addition, in summer, Sterculia nobilis trees have a strong ability to absorb water, so we should water in the morning and evening, especially in dry weather. It is best to water the entire crown of the tree, which can promote the flowering and fruiting of Sterculia nobilis.
4. Nutrients
During the growth period of young Sterculia nobilis trees, when fertilizing, we need to follow the principle of frequent application of thin fertilizer, applying fertilizer at least 4 to 6 times a year, and basically once about every two months. There are actually not too many restrictions on fertilizer for young tree growth; organic fertilizer, farmyard manure, and chemical fertilizer can all be used. After Sterculia nobilis bears fruit, it is enough to apply fertilizer about 3 times a year, namely the base fertilizer in winter, the fruit-promoting fertilizer during the flowering period, and the maintenance fertilizer after fruit harvesting. The base fertilizer is mainly organic fertilizer or farmyard manure, the fruit-promoting fertilizer is mainly phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, and the maintenance fertilizer can be compost or compound fertilizer.
Sterculia nobilis is very rare on the market now, but this does not mean that its planting technology is difficult. It is only because the survival rate of young Sterculia nobilis seedlings is very low. In addition, we ignore many problems when planting, resulting in low yield and quality of Sterculia nobilis, so we must pay attention in the later planting process.
