Zhonghua Red Peach has outstanding quality and can be called the finest of peaches

Zhonghua Red Peach, after several consecutive years of observation by the fruit seedling base of the Hengtang Agricultural Science Institute in Lu'an City, Anhui Province, and has passed provincial-level approval. It has the following characteristics.

(1) Large fruit shape. After ripening, the fruit is completely red, the surface is almost hairless, and the appearance is especially bright and vivid, with an average single fruit weight of 300-350 grams. (2) Excellent quality. Richly sweet flavor, sugar content 14-16%, with a unique fragrance, fine flesh, white in color, freestone, and a very small pit. (3) High and stable yield. Flower buds on medium, long, and short branches are easy to form, all are easy to set fruit, and self-pollination fruit-setting ability is strong. Good high-yield performance, beginning to bear fruit in 2 years, high yield in 3 years, and can produce more than 3000 kg per mu. (4) Storage and transport resistant, with a suitable ripening period. Firm melting flesh, can be stored for more than 15 days at room temperature. The ripening period is late July, and it can occupy the gap period for mid-season peaches. (5) Strong stress resistance. Drought tolerant and cold tolerant, with no obvious pest or disease damage after many years of cultivation, and no fruit cracking or fruit shrinking has occurred.
