Winter Snow Honey Peach is a precious, extremely late-maturing new peach variety selected and bred in 1986 from the Qingzhou Honey Peach. With its unique advantages, it has attracted widespread attention and welcome from numerous fruit tree experts and the vast number of fruit growers. I. Extremely late maturity period. Under the climatic conditions of Qingzhou, it matures in early to mid-November, that is, between the Beginning of Winter and Minor Snow. The fruit can withstand slight frost. As long as frost damage does not occur, it can remain hanging on the branches without dropping or rotting. It is currently the latest-maturing peach variety in China, and can truly be called unique.

II. Extremely excellent quality. The single fruit weighs 110 grams, and the large ones exceed 200 grams. The base color is pale green, and the sunny side is rose red. The flesh is milky white, semi-clingstone, with a delicate texture, fragrant, crisp, and sweet, and an edible rate of 96.5%. It contains 18-20% soluble solids, with a maximum of 24%, total sugar 12.5%, acid 0.20%, 17 kinds of amino acids 0.66%, Vc 68 ug/g, and is rich in various trace elements such as iron, calcium, magnesium, and zinc. It is nutritious and of the highest quality, and can be called the best among peaches.

III. Extremely long storage period. This variety is extremely tolerant of storage and transportation. It can be stored until New Year's Day in an ordinary room, and can be stored until the Spring Festival in a low-temperature cold storage, still maintaining bright color, crisp and sweet flesh, and basically unchanged quality. This is a major breakthrough in the history of peach storage in the world, ending the history of thousands of years in which peaches were not storage-tolerant and no fresh peaches were supplied to the market at New Year's Day and the Spring Festival. It is truly a marvel among peaches.

IV. Wide adaptability and strong high-yield potential. This variety is drought-resistant, cold-resistant, and tolerant of barren soil, and can be planted on plains and mountainous land alike. It flowers easily, has a high fruit-setting rate, and does not require pollinator trees. Generally, it bears fruit in two years, shows results in three years, and reaches high yield in four to five years, with a yield of 2500-3000 kg per mu, and high-yield orchards can reach more than 4000 kg, with high economic benefits.
