A Detailed Introduction to Xueqing, the Newest Pear Variety

Xueqing pear is the newest pear variety bred by crossing Xuelhua and New Century. On November 28, 2000, Yuyao City Lvhaobang Farm introduced scions from Zhejiang University. Through high-position grafting technology and careful cultivation and management, all trees came into production and bore fruit, with the highest yield from a single tree reaching 15 kg, and the farm planted 80 mu.

Growth and fruiting habits: the plant grows vigorously, the tree shape is relatively open, the growth vigor is strong, the branching and budbreak rates are high, flower buds form easily, there are many axillary flower buds, the fruit is round-spherical, the fruit weight is 300-400 g, the largest can reach more than 700 g, after ripening it is golden yellow, the skin is relatively thin, the fruit dots are relatively large, moderately numerous, and evenly distributed, the flesh is white, the texture is fine and crisp, juicy, especially sweet in taste, with a strong aroma, soluble solids 13%, and excellent quality, the core is small, the edible rate is high, the flowering period is medium, and the fruit ripening period is early August.
