New pear line 4-20 is an early-maturing new pear line bred by crossing Xizilü as the female parent and Cuiguan as the male parent. This line has strong growth vigor, a relatively upright tree habit, large and thick leaves, easy flower bud formation, complete buds, and a large amount of pollen. The fruit ripens early, maturing around July 20 in the Hangzhou area. The average fruit weight is about 250 g, the fruit is relatively uniform, the fruit shape is round or tall-round, the skin is light green, the fruit dots are relatively large and sparsely distributed on the upper part and densely distributed on the lower part, the sepals fall off, some fruits are ribbed, the fruit surface has little russeting, and the appearance is relatively good. The fruit flesh is crisp and tender, the juice is very abundant, the soluble solids content is 10.5-12%, and the quality is relatively good. In bagged fruit, the color is relatively uniform; with inner black double-layer bags, the fruit is milky white and the fruit dots are relatively obvious. With waxed yellow double-layer bags, the fruit is light green, and the skin color is more attractive than that of Cuiguan. It is a relatively good new early-maturing pear cultivar.
