Introduction to the characteristics of the peach variety Shazizaosheng
In Japan, in Okayama Prefecture, Ue Shiteruo discovered it among seedlings of the Shenyu and Okubo varieties that he had purchased, and it is presumed to be an accidental seedling; after identification it was named in 1985. In 1966 the Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences introduced it from Japan.
The fruit is oval, the two halves are fairly symmetrical, and the fruit apex is round; the average single fruit weight is 150 grams, and the largest fruit weight is 400 grams; the ground color of the skin is milky white, with a red blush on the apex and the sunny side, and the skin peels easily; the flesh is milky white, with a small amount of red pigment bleeding into the flesh, the texture is dense, juicy, the flavor is sweet, and the aroma is strong; the soluble solids content is 11.7%. The pit is semi-clinging. The tree vigor is medium or slightly strong, and the tree habit is spreading. The bearing branches are thick and rather sparse, with mostly single flower buds. Long bearing branches often form flower buds between the spring and summer shoots, the pollen is abortive, and pollinator varieties must be provided or artificial pollination carried out. In the Zhengzhou area of Henan, it blooms on April 4 and the fruit ripens on June 22, with a fruit development period of 77 days.
This variety is an early-maturing fresh-eating variety. The fruit is large, the appearance is attractive, the quality is excellent, it stores and ships well, and it has strong adaptability. However, the pollen is sterile, so pollinator varieties must be provided.
