Chemical control: start spraying at the early stage of disease onset, every 7-10 days, for 2-3 consecutive treatments. Fungicides can be chosen from 68.75% DuPont Equation 1000x solution, 25% Shibogong emulsifiable concentrate 1000-1500x solution, 80% Sande Sheng wettable powder 600-800x solution, 50% Thiophanate wettable powder 1000x solution, 40% Dako...
1. Indoor heap storage method. Choose a cool, clean ordinary empty room or cellar as the storage room. Before storage, disinfect the floor with 150-200x formalin solution, then spread dry rice straw. Harvest watermelons with 10 cm of vine left on, soak them in 10-15% salt water for 3-5 minutes, and after the moisture on the rind has dried, place them according to their field orientation, one layer of dry grass and one layer of melons, leaving ventilation channels to make inspection easier, ventilate at night to lower the temperature, and sprinkle water appropriately to increase humidity.
2. Salt water sealing storage method. Soak the watermelons in 5-10% salt water for 2-4 hours, then smear the surface of the watermelons with 0.5-1% potassium sorbate or sorbic acid, wrap them well with plastic wrap or polyethylene bags, and store them in a low-temperature place.
3. Vine juice coating preservation method. Watermelon vines contain substances that inhibit the respiration of watermelon ripening. Grind fresh vines into a pulp, filter to obtain the juice, dilute it to a 300x solution and spray it on the watermelon surface. After it dries, a thin film forms, and the melons can be stored in a cool place.
4. Fine sand burial method. Choose a clean, ventilated, cool place, spread 60 mm of clean fine sand, harvest the melons on a clear early morning, leave 3-4 leaves on them, place one layer on the prepared sand, cover with 50 mm of fine sand, and leave the melon leaves outside the sand to produce nutrients. Spray the outside of the sand pile with 500-600x carbendazim solution to sterilize.
The above methods can keep watermelons fresh for 1 to 2 months. The watermelons should not be too ripe; harvesting watermelons at eight or nine tenths ripe is better.
