It is the right time to apply heat-preserving fruit-strengthening fertilizer to loquat
Loquat is the earliest fruit variety to ripen in the year. High-quality loquat fruits are large, with few seeds, bright orange-red skin, soft and juicy flesh, moderate sweetness and acidity, a unique flavor, and rich nutrition, with effects such as clearing heat, moistening the lungs, relieving cough, and strengthening the stomach. In recent years, high-quality loquat has quietly entered the high-end fruit market, not only with prices...
At present, loquat trees have successively finished flowering and entered the young fruit growth and development stage, and the temperature has also begun to drop, gradually entering the cold season. This is the most suitable period for applying heat-preserving fruit-strengthening fertilizer. Applying this fertilizer in time can not only improve the cold resistance of loquat plants, prevent the fruit from frost damage and cold injury, but also promote the rapid expansion of the fruit, significantly increase yield, and improve quality. The specific method is as follows: When loquat trees begin to finish flowering and young fruits appear, apply heat-preserving fruit-strengthening fertilizer, mainly with high-quality organic fertilizer and a complete fertilizer of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium, increase the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, and supplement magnesium fertilizer. For trees 5 years old and above, apply 25~30 kg of decomposed ash manure made by mixing and composting livestock and poultry manure with plant ash, 1.5~2 kg of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (15-15-15) compound fertilizer, 3~4 kg of superphosphate or calcium magnesium phosphate fertilizer, 1.0~1.5 kg of potassium chloride or potassium sulfate, and 0.5~1.0 kg of magnesium sulfate per tree. After fully stirring and mixing all the fertilizers evenly, dig a ring ditch 25~30 cm deep and 25~30 cm wide around the drip line of the canopy, evenly spread the fertilizers into the ring ditch, and cover with soil. In addition, spray the leaves 2~3 times with a mixed solution of 0.1% magnesium sulfate, 0.2% urea, 0.3% monopotassium phosphate, 600 times amino acid active liquid fertilizer, and 1000 times triacontanol, spraying once every 7~10 days, evenly wetting all branches, leaves, and fruits inside and outside the canopy, until water droplets begin to drip down. Supplementing organic matter, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and magnesium fertilizer through the leaves is beneficial for improving the plant's cold resistance for overwintering and promoting the rapid expansion of the fruit.
