How should cherry tomatoes be managed after transplanting?

After planting cherry tomatoes, they can be managed as follows:
1. Reasonable fertilization and irrigation. Cherry tomatoes have well-developed root systems and grow vigorously. Organic fertilizer should be the main fertilizer, combined with compound fertilizer, and appropriately increase potassium fertilizer.
2. Insert supports and tie vines. After transplanting and seedling recovery, supports should be inserted and vines tied in time. For early-maturing self-topping varieties, insert low supports, with a support height below 1 m. For tall-support varieties, the support height should be above 1.5 m. Generally, A-shaped trellises and vertical trellises are inserted, and the support poles should be sturdy and firm to prevent lodging. Tie the vine by tying the stem to the support above the first cluster of fruit, and then tie once every 2 to 3 leaves. When tying vines, pay attention to tightness: when the plant grows vigorously, tie it tighter; when the growth vigor is weak, tie it looser.
3. Pruning and removing side shoots. According to the growth situation of cherry tomatoes, it can be divided into two methods: single-stem pruning and double-stem pruning. Single-stem pruning keeps only the main stem and removes all side buds. Double-stem pruning, in addition to the main stem, keeps only one side branch growing from the leaf axil below the first inflorescence, and removes all other side buds. When removing buds, pay attention to doing it early, and it is best to choose sunny days. Keep the wound dry to avoid pathogen infection. If done on rainy days, spray medicine immediately after the operation to prevent disease.
